Using Skype In Your Business

Using Skype In Your Business

What is Skype? Why is it so popular nowadays? Skype is basically a VOIP service provider which allows people to chat with other people over the Internet. It works the same way as a traditional phone, however, you talk over your computer instead.

Skype has a powerful search feature on it that allows you to find other people who have it. This is great for business, because if they have the “Skype Me” mode on, they are basically saying that they will take calls from strangers.

So basically, you would use the search function to search for people who have their Skype me mode on and look up terms such as home business or work from home. When you find these people you simply type them a hello message to get the conversation going and then go from there.
It really is an amazing invention, and makes keeping in touch with people on the other side of the world a lot easier. It seems like an idea that came from the show A Town Called Eureka, which is brilliant if you haven’t seen it. Intriguing plot lines and nerd driven characters, am I the only one really excited about this show?

The Significance Of Keywords

The Significance Of Keywords

When trying to optimize a site for search engines, people tend to get all flustered. There is so much to learn and do. You have to research and determine exactly what your competition is doing. Then, you have to beat them so that you can achieve higher ranking than they do. This is almost impossible for the newbies out there in the Internet marketing world.

The good news is, an easy way to start is by using keywords. If you can find a keyword, you can optimize your site and hit first page on Google and other search engines. All you do is toss in a keyword that you are trying to target into a tool such as Wordtracker. Then you want to look for the keywords that are searched at least 500 times monthly but are low in competition. By this we mean under 10,000 (5,000 for best results) other competitors.

Once you find these keywords you sprinkle them in your site. Include them in your title and a few in your body of your site and especially in the URL of your site if you can.

Now, once you get the hang of it, do not stop at one keyword. Optimize your site for a few keywords. This will get you on the first page of Google for numerous keywords.
A really good example of this is how the entertainment industry uses its shows and actors as keywords in search engines. So lets say someone types the word House MD into a search engine, then some examples of websites who would have sprinkled these words in their website are people who produce the show and the actors, sell the DVDs and show the videos online. The website that has the most of this keywords, content, and links is the one that gets to the top of the list.

Working From Home Gives Me Freedom

Working From Home Gives Me Freedom

I have to say that since I quit my 9 to 5 job over 7 years ago and begun working from my home, I have had the total freedom to do what I want and still make a fabulous income. I work right from the comfort of my bedroom in my pajamas and slippers. I wake up when I want (not to an alarm clock) and when I do feel like working, all I have to do is log on to my computer.

My children play along besides me as I answer email, log in a few orders over the Internet and maybe even make a few calls. Being my own boss allows me to take as many breaks as I want, have lunch when I want and stop working when I want. I am even in control of my own paycheck! How nice it to know that I can make $1000 a month or $10,000 a month. That is all up to me!
I used to have to come home and worry about what I did at work that day and what I had coming up the next day. Now, because I have started my own company to work from home, the only thing I need to worry about when I get home is what cult tv show I should watch.

Team Building Made Easy

Team Building Made Easy

Every manager knows the importance of team building, however, not every manager implements it. Team building does not have to be hard. Basically, your job as a manager is to build up your team’s morale as well as their productivity. You can do this by creating a fun and productive workplace for your team. Offer incentives and rewards for a job well done. Run contests on a monthly basis to keep the team spirit alive. Set a good example by being motivated and productive yourself.

Be sure to set goals that are realistic. Make them enough of a challenge that when reached your team will feel pleased with themselves, ambitious and motivated for more.
A fun way to do this may be to make a team pvc banner and running a race or doing another task together while being labeled as a team. You would be amazed what this will do for not only the esteem of the team, but also everyone in it!
