Ridge Racer 3D

posted by easmgr in Uncategorized

A friend of mine’s girlfriend wanted us to accompany her to a store to get some Lace Fabrics. We agree but only if we could stop at a video game store to check out the new Ridge Racer game. She agreed and off we went. When we got the new game home we just could not stop playing.

Playing video games not is a past time that is limited to kids alone; many adults actually love playing video games because of the inability to resist the great graphics exhibited in modern video games such as the ridge racer 3D game.

This game brings the reality of life into the game system to the extent that you feel alive inside the game as if it is real life combined with all the vibrations that makes you feel the impact of all actions in the game, this is the reason behind caution at the back of the game’s console and in the users manual, for people that could not withstand the effect of some actions that could be encountered while playing the game.

This game is made by Namco, who have been in the business of making video games as early as the 1990’s, but the new racer 3d brings more action to the car racing game, which makes it look newer for everyone that have been playing ridge racer for many years back. The new racer 3D also consist of new tracks and events that makes the game more interesting than before. The new ridge racer takes the racer game back to the very beginning and makes it more interesting, especially with the replay features that have been incorporated into the series. <

Computer game music to be honoured at the Grammy’s

posted by easmgr in Uncategorized

Even though I am a fan the newest and sophisticated technologies and developments in the gaming world, sometimes I find myself drawn to simple games too. Today was no exception. I was doing some great stuff at solitaire on my computer when I heard the news that computer games are going to be honored with a new category at the Grammy’s.

Music written for computer games will be eligible to win four of the awards:
The Music for Visual Media
Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media
Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media
Best Song Written for Visual Media

It is interesting that they have not created a new category for computer games music instead they have broadened the description of existing categories in order to allow music written for computer games to be eligible.

This is great news, especially for the composers of music for computer games. It means that computer games are now being taken more seriously and therefore could attract more talent and investment. The more I think about it the more overdue this move seems. When I think back to some of the computer games that have come out in the last few years, many have had brilliant sound tracks. The Halo franchise recently but even as far back at the original Tomb Raider, the game’s sound track has had a profound impact on the overall gaming experience.

So it is about time that the talented musicians and composers can be honored with these prestigious awards and hopefully in the long run it will lead to more talent in this part of the industry.

New dimensions

The PS2, which the father of all consoles, represented a breakthrough in gaming. Its basic body structure, cheap build yet quality approved machine made games reach into every corner to the world. People ranging from grandparents to parents to kids – they all played it, everybody knows what it is. It had an online feature which lets you connect to other people on the web with the same game so that everybody could play together and get more out of the experience.
It humiliated everything that came in way, it was the soul representative of the gaming world till 2005. During the times when r4 was extremely expensive, it was the perfect substitute for the PC gamer (strictly speaking) where unafforable custom built PC’s weren’t up to everyones wallet appetite. It was a breakthrough and it was successful, it is the worlds most popular electronic device ever known.
Since the birth of the PS3 the online world has changed. Something which just had a linear function of allowing gamers to play with each other has evolved in a marketplace. From it are ready to download games, movies, patches, software etc which would enhance the experience of the gamer. It has become more of a utility computer device which allows you to do the most of the basic functions that a PC can perform. It allows users to email other users, surf the web, visit the marketplace and purchase game and other add ons, customize the interface to their liking, form forums and groups. This change the entire pace of the gaming world.
