Red Dead Redemption moves into my list of games played, i have finished it but boy oh boy! its a good one. Rockstar has made its point, it open world systems, not perfect, yet amazingly flexible can be cut and pasted like a templete for all sorts of open world games. Yes trees will pop up in the middle of nowhere and things will vanish in front of you but its a job well done. No one has been able to challenge their open world environment so far.
Most of all, the glitches didn’t hold me back, I was lost deep into the game where I couldn’t be bothered about glitches and loading time etc. the story is the center of the game. Though the multiplayer isn’t widely played, I still enjoyed it for as long as could before I set it down. The sound design is good, better than GTA, the guns sound crisp and enjoyable. The voice overs are perfect with moments of happiness and sadness portrayed with elements of realistic human affections. The game design is good, the map is large and fun with tons of side quests that let you savour the game bit by bit. They are good to pass time or to earn some extra cash.
All in all, I would give the game a 9.5/10, the .5 loss would be regarding load times and certain irritating aspects I can really put in words but they surely didn’t bother me enough to pinpoint what exactly it is.
